LPN - Inpatient

About the role

This position involves providing direct nursing care within the neuroscience department, supporting a diverse patient population across all age groups, including Neonate to Geriatric. Under the supervision of an RN, responsibilities include delivering safe patient care, assisting with tests and procedures, ensuring accurate medical record documentation, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and document individualized care plans
• Collaborate with healthcare team
• Assist with emergency measures
• Participate in staff training
• Promote patient safety by following protocols and reporting concerns
• Perform routine treatments such as oxygen therapy, IV setup, catheterization, and medication administration (excluding IV push)
• Maintain cleanliness of patient areas and equipment
• Support complex treatment procedures

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program
• CPR/BLS certification
• Current LPN licensure
• No minimum experience required
• Bilingual abilities are a plus
• Physical ability to perform heavy work is essential
• Adherence to safety protocols involving hazardous materials
