About the role
Provide direct nursing care within the adult inpatient admission unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care across diverse age groups
- Assist with tests, procedures, and complex healthcare team interventions
- Implement and document individualized care plans
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
- Assist with emergency measures
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Support patient safety initiatives by adhering to policies, reporting safety concerns, and encouraging patient participation
- Perform routine treatments and administer medications (excluding IV push)
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program
- Completion of IV training
- Licensure as a Practical Nurse in New Mexico or via reciprocity
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
- Physical ability to perform heavy work
- Adherence to safety protocols for hazardous materials and TB testing
Qualifications
Bilingual skills are a plus.
