LPN GIG - Flex/Per Diem/PRN - Mercy Joplin and Surrounding Communities

About the role

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (or comparable education/experience with successful licensure)
• Current compact LPN license
• One year of recent bedside LPN experience
• BLS certification (required for Med Surg and Behavioral Health)
• IV certification (required)
• Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty, bend, stoop, lift, and turn patients with assistance
• Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 pounds

Schedule

• PRN/Per Diem/Flex/Float status
• Shift varies (day or night, based on availability)
• No weekend, holiday, or shift requirements
• 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts available
• Flexible work throughout the community
• Must schedule a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days
• Must be available on short notice and flexible for last-minute shift changes or cancellations
• No guaranteed shift hours; may be first for cancellation

Pay

• $30/hour base rate
