About the role
The role involves providing patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, utilizing the nursing process to meet developmental needs and adhere to hospital policies and nursing standards.
Responsibilities
- Performing comprehensive assessments and data collection on patients
- Assessing and reassessing pain, educating patients and families on pain management
- Monitoring for adverse changes in patient condition and notifying appropriate healthcare team members
- Maintaining knowledge of medications and their proper administration
- Engaging professionally with patients and families, involving them in education
- Operating and cleaning medical equipment correctly
- Performing additional duties as required
Qualifications
- Practical Nursing Registration and current New York license
- CPR Certification
- Ability to assess patient needs, communicate effectively, and follow protocols
Pay
$19–$26 per hour
