Position Overview
The role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care under supervision or direction, ensuring professional accountability and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Cook up patient care with other departments in a high-acuity, monitored unit.
- Manage therapies such as chest tubes, lytic therapy, vasopressors, Bipap, insulin drips, and sedatives.
- Collaborate within a team-oriented environment, offering learning opportunities and mentoring.
- Potential career advancement into ICU units with an 18-month program.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience with licensure.
- Current LPN license maintained according to state requirements.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and turn patients (up to 50 pounds).
- Basic Life Support certification required; IV certification preferred.
- Open to both new and experienced LPNs.
