About the organization
Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.
General Description
Provides nursing services to patients in an outpatient, substance use disorder treatment setting. Completes nursing assessments, patient evaluations & screenings, dispenses & administers medications, and provides patients with healthcare education. Works with all members of the Treatment Team to coordinate patient care.

- Performs beginning and end of day check lists to set up and secure end of day mobile unit requirements.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma / GED required
- One year of experience working in the medical and/or behavioral health field preferred.
Licenses, Certifications and Registrations
- CPR and First Aid certification to be completed within six months of employment
- Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
Essential Physical/Technical Skills
- Ability to write accurately and legibly
- Moderate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows-based computers
- Able to accurately type at least 40 words per minute
- Able to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time
- Able to bend, stoop and reach
- Able to sit in meetings for extended periods of time
- Able to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors
- Able to lift and carry 10 pounds
- Good hearing and vision
- Able to drive mobile unit (Reasonable accommodations will be made for otherwise qualified individuals with a disability)
Environmental Conditions
- Treatment program / mobile treatment facility / county jail environment
- Exposure to possible verbal abuse and similar behavior
- Exposure to patients with communicable diseases
Special Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must pass a level II background check (https://info.flclearinghouse.com) and drug screen
