About the role

Responsibilities
- Assist routine daily direction and monitor the work of the nursing assistants on the unit, assuring a high standard of nursing care and satisfactory completion of tasks.
- Follows company procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
- Communicate on a regular basis with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations, and suggestions of problem areas, resident and employee activities, concerns, needs, conditions, etc.
- Documents any change in patient's conditions including but not limited to nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or any other noticeable changes.
- Participate in report at the beginning and end of shifts to assure proper information about residents is communicated.
- Assist in the admission, orientation, and observation of new residents, assure that physician orders for diets, therapy, medication, etc. are transcribed and communicated according to procedure.
Qualifications / Education / Experience
- Currently licensed as an LPN in Colorado
- Prior experience in a nursing community
- The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- The desire to care for residents and act with integrity
- The ability to work flexible hours
- Possess a valid BLS Certification
