LPN/Administrative Position
About The Job: Looking for an experienced LPN to work at a brand new assisted living in Chesapeake, VA. MUST HAVE long-term care facility experience and administrative experience!
Responsibilities
- Provide routine care, observe patients’ health, assist non-licensed nursing staff and registered nurses.
- Communicate instructions to patients regarding medication, assisted living-based care, and preventative lifestyle changes.
- Admitting new residents.
- Assisting physicians during rounds of residents’ rooms.
- Assigning and delegating duties to non-licensed nursing staff.
- Monitoring resident care and supervising other nursing staff.
- Performing ongoing assessments of residents’ physical and mental health.
- Explaining procedures and treatment protocols to residents.
Work Conditions
- Long periods of standing, walking, stooping, heavy lifting, and bending.
- Risks of exposure to disease, infection, physical strain, and assault.
- Usually required to be on-site around the clock to provide other services needed by the patient.
- Sometimes household chores and even grocery services are also performed.
- All necessary paperwork for residents.
Requirements
- Licensed practical nurses (LPN's) certification.
- Administrative experience.
- CPR, BLS certification.
Pay
