Low Voltage Technician - Omaha
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Security Technician to install, program, troubleshoot, and service a variety of electronic security systems. This role supports commercial, industrial, and residential projects and is ideal for a technician who can work independently while delivering high-quality installations and customer service. The successful candidate will have experience with low-voltage systems including fire alarms, intrusion alarms, video surveillance, and access control. Candidates with industry certifications and hands-on experience with leading security platforms are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and service low-voltage security systems
- Program and commission fire alarm, intrusion alarm, access control, and video surveillance systems
- Troubleshoot wiring, equipment, and system performance issues
- Conduct testing and inspections to ensure proper system functionality and code compliance
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Provide customer training and technical support following installations
- Complete service calls, preventative maintenance, and system upgrades
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and system changes
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry standards
Requirements
- Experience installing and servicing low-voltage security systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with fire alarm systems, access control, burglar alarms, and video surveillance solutions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as needed
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Experience Level: Mid-Level to Expert Technician
Pay
The pay range for this position is $41,600.00 - $72,800.00 per year. Monthly performance incentive program (up to 10% of annual pay).
