About The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join a growing team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for an experienced professional who can take ownership of projects, work independently in the field, and support project execution across a wide range of low-voltage installations. This opportunity is ideal for a technician who wants to move beyond task-based work and into a role with greater responsibility, autonomy, and career growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems, including: Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Fiber optic cabling
Install and service low-voltage systems, including: Access control systems (door controllers, badge readers, etc.), Security and surveillance systems (IP cameras, NVRs), Audio/Visual systems
Support project execution to ensure successful completion of installations and upgrades
Take ownership of assigned job sites by: Reviewing plans and project layouts, Coordinating daily work activities, Managing project milestones and timelines, Ensuring quality standards are consistently met, Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installations and service calls, Perform inspections, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of existing low-voltage infrastructure, Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites, Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain a professional presence on-site.

Required Qualifications

Experience as a Low Voltage Technician, Low Voltage Installer, Cable Technician, Inspector, or Audio Visual Technician
Strong knowledge of low-voltage cabling and structured wiring systems
Experience installing and troubleshooting: Access control systems, CCTV/IP camera systems, Security systems
Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's license
T1/T2 and/or E1/E2 License preferred (where applicable)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with system installations and integration
OSHA 10 certification
Strong customer service and communication skills
Experience managing job sites and coordinating project execution
Leadership abilities with a proactive, ownership-focused mindset

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newtown, CT.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
