Position Overview
Globalcom Technologies, a division of Westphal & Company, is hiring a Low Voltage Project Manager in Dubuque, IA to support structured cabling and technology infrastructure projects across eastern Iowa and the surrounding region. Supporting local and regional projects, this role offers a hands-on approach to project management, working closely with field teams and clients throughout all phases of construction.
Impact
- Manage Projects from Start to Finish
- Oversee low voltage and structured cabling projects, ensuring successful delivery across schedule, budget, and quality.
- Cook up Structured Cabling Scope
- Manage installation of copper and fiber cabling systems, including backbone and horizontal distribution, termination, testing, and coordination with other trades on active job sites.
- Support ICT & Structured Cabling Systems
- Work across structured cabling systems including copper, fiber optics, and network infrastructure. Help ensure installations meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Work Closely with Field Teams on ICT Projects
- Maintain a strong jobsite presence supporting structured cabling and low voltage installations, helping keep projects moving efficiently. Support Project Closeout & Documentation
- Cook up testing, labeling, and documentation of structured cabling systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Build Local and Regional Relationships
- Develop strong connections with contractors and clients to drive repeat work across eastern Iowa and surrounding areas.
- Contribute Across the Team
- Support multiple aspects of project delivery in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in low voltage, electrical, or construction project management
- Estimating experience and ability to read construction documents
- Knowledge of structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber infrastructure
- Familiarity with ICT systems and network installations
- Exposure to BICSI standards or similar industry best practices is a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a team-oriented environment
