Under the responsibility of the Manager, the Logistics Supervisor supervises, coordinates, and oversees logistics operations while providing coaching, development, and training to staff. The role involves recommending improvements to facility processes, equipment, and machinery, ensuring staff performance meets standards, and driving progress toward business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day logistics operations.
  • Plan and review logistics processes in collaboration with the Logistics Manager to meet company standards and customer service specifications.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure optimal shift/team logistics.
  • Accountable for site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with customers on all aspects of operations.
  • Conduct regular team and individual meetings to monitor progress, track performance, coach, counsel, and recognize successes.
  • Cultivate team spirit through Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and promote cooperation by improving internal processes.
  • Perform team member evaluations and recommend performance awards or merit increases when appropriate.
  • Address performance issues through corrective action and disciplinary processes.
  • Understand labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations.
  • Implement health, safety, and security initiatives, ensuring adherence to company rules and policies.
  • Provide orientation, information, technology, and materials necessary for employees and Lead Hands to perform their jobs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year or more experience in transportation, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred.
  • 0 to one (1) year of direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
  • Packaging/Production leadership experience preferred.
  • Bilingual capability in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible Night Shift schedule.

Pay

Annual salary: $65,000 (exempt, paid twice per month).
