Production Supervisor

As a Production Supervisor at Saputo, you will be responsible for supervising the packaging, whey and production departments to maximize productivity on assigned shifts and areas. Key responsibilities include:

• Promote and support food safety and product quality programs.
• Oversee and provide strong leadership, direction, support, training and development for a team of production supervisors.
• Maintain and enforce policies related to Saputo, operations, and employee standards.
• Monitor systems, ensure protein and solid targets are met, and maintain proper standard operating procedures.
• Manage membrane performance, coordinate changes, and keep records.
• Maintain equipment and facility hygiene to meet regulatory, customer, and company standards.
• Lead problem-solving efforts through team meetings and on-the-floor leadership.

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

• A bachelor's degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three years of supervisory experience in a food production environment.
• Working knowledge of computer programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Ability to define programs, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Leadership and motivation skills.
• Cost containment and budgetary principles understanding.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Flexible work hours and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
