Packaging Production Supervisor

About the role

Quad is a global marketing experience company that uses a data‑driven integrated marketing and manufacturing platform to help clients win. The 82,000‑square‑foot Spartanburg, SC facility produces innovative packaging for healthcare, pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods and retail industries using sheetfed offset, narrow‑web flexographic, die‑cutting and folder/gluer equipment in a clean, climate‑controlled environment. The Packaging Production Supervisor will lead the second‑shift team (Monday–Friday, 2 p.m.–10 p.m.) and drive safety, quality, productivity and on‑time performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of production employees
• Drive safety, quality, productivity, and on‑time performance
• Manage daily production priorities, staffing, equipment, and workflow
• Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime
• Partner with maintenance, quality, and other teams to improve plant performance
• Drive continuous improvement and waste‑reduction initiatives
• Build an engaged, accountable, and high‑performing team

Requirements

• 3+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience
• Packaging, printing, converting, or folding‑carton manufacturing experience required
• Experience with die cutting, folder/gluer, sheetfed press, flexographic printing, or similar packaging operations strongly preferred
• Strong leadership, coaching, and employee‑development skills
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, safety, quality, and production workflows
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
• Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to communicate effectively and follow safety, quality, and production requirements
• Ability to adapt to changing production priorities
• Willingness to work overtime as business needs require

Pay

Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications; actual compensation will vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location and other job‑related factors.
