About the role
The Logistics Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including purchasing, receiving, storing, and distributing products, materials, and equipment. The role ensures accurate inventory records, maintains a clean and organized warehouse, and operates warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management
- Receive, verify, and process incoming shipments
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations
- Conduct inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels in the warehouse and fleet vehicles
- Update inventory records and track product movement using warehouse software
- Create and process vendor RMAs
- Purchasing
- Purchase commodity and non-commodity items
- Create purchase orders
- Follow up and maintain vendor relationships
- Order Fulfillment (For Internal Technicians)
- Pick, pack, and accurately prepare kits for on-time pick-up
- Deliver products, kits, or supplies to the field when necessary
- Facility & Fleet Management
- Schedule, oversee repairs, and perform minor maintenance
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions (receipts, shipments, and stock movement)
- Report on inventory levels, order fulfillment, and warehouse performance
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software
- Certification in warehouse management, logistics, or related fields is a plus
- Regularly required to stand, walk, lift, and move objects
- Valid driver’s license
- Pass NC Alarm Board background check
