Logistics and Purchasing Manager

Duties

• Oversee 2 - 8 workers
• Manage logistics operations including transportation planning and order fulfillment
• Cook with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Oversee warehouse operations to optimize storage and inventory management
• Implement process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency
• Cook with project managers, field superintendents and vendors to procure materials and equipment needs for specific job(s)
• Inventory warehouse materials
• Complete a monthly inventory of tools and equipment
• Ensure that equipment is in proper working order before being shipped out
• Aid in loading and unloading equipment, materials and other items while ensuring the safety of employees, equipment and materials
• Cook with delivery of materials and equipment as needed using proper safety precautions and procedures
• Ensure that material in the warehouse is properly stored and maintained
• Ensure materials and equipment outside are properly stored in containers and secured
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during logistics operations
• All other duties and tasks required to complete the job effectively, including lower-level work

Skills/Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, and/or warehouse management
• Electrical experience preferred
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must possess computer skills such as typing and using Microsoft programs and Adobe
• Must have forklift certification
• Must possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize work tasks
• Must possess conflict management skill
• Strong knowledge of logistics processes, transportation planning, and warehouse management
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements effectively
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred
