About the role

AvaDent is seeking a Purchasing & Logistics Manager who excels at identifying opportunities for improvement and driving business value through strategic sourcing and supply chain management.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and purchase materials, components, equipment, and supplies to support production operations while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
  • Create and manage departmental spend budgets, track actual results, and collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate purchasing, landed costs, and COGS data.
  • Analyze spend and total cost to identify savings, cost avoidance, and working capital improvements.
  • Find and qualify alternative suppliers, negotiate terms, lead supplier scorecards, and hold vendors accountable for performance.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships that align with AvaDent's product roadmap and growth objectives.
  • Coordinate inbound logistics, resolve shortages, delays, and supply chain disruptions, and ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, logistics, or supply chain, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating spend, pricing, inventory, budgets, and cost opportunities using ERP, MRP, purchasing, or inventory-management systems and Excel.
  • Confidence in negotiating with suppliers and holding partners accountable.
  • A proactive, high-energy style with strong judgment, organization, and follow-through.
  • The ability to work effectively across Production, Engineering, Quality, Accounting, and leadership teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Dental, medical-device, healthcare-product, or other regulated manufacturing experience, including FDA, ISO 13485, or Good Manufacturing Practice environments.
  • Domestic and international sourcing and logistics experience.
  • APICS, CPSM, CSCP, or related certifications.
  • English/Spanish bilingual capabilities.
