Logistics Lead

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Logistics Lead to help drive daily operations across our distribution center. In this role, you'll lead and support teams across receiving, shipping, inventory, and fulfillment—ensuring work flows efficiently and problems are solved quickly. You'll act as a key partner to leadership, mentor team members, and help improve processes using continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and delegate daily work across warehouse functions (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, etc.)
• Support team members with troubleshooting and operational guidance
• Serve as a liaison between employees and management
• Train and mentor employees; act as a subject matter expert (SME)
• Rotate staff across functions based on business needs
• Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and internal tools to manage workflows
• Identify process improvements and support Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Promote a safe, clean, and productive work environment
• Provide feedback to leadership on team performance

Requirements

• 3+ years (internal) or 5+ years (external) in a high-volume warehouse/logistics environment
• Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or work order flow
• Lead or team coordination experience preferred
• Familiarity with WMS (SAP or similar) and standard operating procedures
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate degree preferred

Work Environment

Distribution center setting with varying temperatures, noise levels, and conditions. Occasional overtime or non-standard hours as needed.
