About the role

This position oversees inventory, metrics, and coordinates shipping procedures along with transportation for Mennel items in a safe and timely manner. You will help sustain Mennel’s tradition of excellence established in 1886, support our food safety programs, and ensure reliable delivery of superior quality, uniformity, and service.

Responsibilities

• Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP’s, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act, and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company.
• Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit-ready condition.
• Monitor and maintain group email mailboxes associated with Logistics.
• Update and report KPI metric monitoring.
• Schedule transportation for Mennel-owned ingredients and finished goods.
• Coordinate movement of material from storage areas in the warehouse to the point of sale.
• Manage documentation associated with shipping processes.
• Manage product inventory and adjust entries as needed.
• Document all actions by handling logs, records, and forms.
• Conduct physical inventories to determine losses and identify stocks for shipment.
• Compile work orders and ensure appropriate compliance.
• Prepare special orders for products not in stock.
• Direct the work of warehouse personnel and oversee all associated activities.
• Assume warehouse operations responsibility in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Serve as backup to the Warehouse Technician Lead position as needed.
• Assist in developing policies and procedures to direct warehouse operations.
• Investigate and report warehouse operational discrepancies.
• Designated as point person for system upgrades, improvements, and troubleshooting.
• Document system processes and update SOPs and OPLs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position oversees Warehouse Technicians and Warehouse Lead Technicians in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required; 5 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and organization skills.
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
• Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
• Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
• Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
• Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.

Skills

• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans. Ability to write, complete checklists, and other basic documentation. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability: Must use solid judgment when making decisions and quickly recognize and plan for changing work duties and events.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to perform tasks, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Primarily office environment but may perform minor tasks in manufacturing areas.
• Exposure to common wheat allergens.

Schedule

This position works a pitman schedule, 12-hour shift (7 AM–7 PM), with overtime as required.
