Duties
- Cook up, track and report all import freight movement.
- Mainly line with import vendor and carriers.
- Provide import title status updates and support during weekly release meetings.
- Offer assistance with new account import services and setup.
- Coordinate the choice, route and reporting of direct bindery shipments.
- Offer routing help and status updates for VAS/Work Order freight movement.
- Offer routing directions for domestic inbound freight as asked.
- Offer transportation rates as asked.
- Administrative back-up for Transportation.
- Perform data analysis as needed.
- Perform other departmental functions as required.
- Provide administrative back-up for Transportation.
- Serve as a backup coverage for 2nd shift.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills: writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; able to read and interpret written information.
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external personnel.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high paced environment.
- Ability to multi task: handle pressure/delegate information.
- MS Office (Access/Excel intermediate skill level).
- Ability/willingness to learn internal and external Website software.
- Demonstrates attention to detail: looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; works well in group problem solving situations.
- Serves as a backup coverage for 2nd shift.
- Adapts to changes in the work environment; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
