Crew Provisions
- Collaborate with team members to develop nutritious meal plans that are applicable for up to 12 crews based in front country or spike camp situations.
- Plan meals that are appropriate for the crew’s dietary needs and the project’s location, camp style, and weather or seasonal considerations.
- Purchase bulk items and ingredients to facilitate these meal plans.
- Purchase food within the budget parameters seeking the highest value for each expenditure.
- Track food purchase costs, waste, and crew member satisfaction with meals.
- Pack coolers and pantry bins with ingredients and recipes to accompany the crews for multiple weeks of field work.
- Keep the food bay clean and organized, while managing safe storage of perishable and non-perishable food.
- Support the maintenance and inventory of cook sets and camp kitchen equipment.
Facilities
- Maintain cleaning supplies for the office and warehouse.
- Work with Facilities staff to maintain supplies and provisions in member housing, such as ordering of bulk supplies, pickup, and drop-off at the house.
- Lead Super Scrub cleaning events when assigned.
- Respond to minor repair and maintenance needs at housing and office locations.
- Report or escalate concerns with housing cleanliness and member conduct.
- Support the Member Management team with assigning beds/rooms to crew members.
- Help maintain tent inventory and camp equipment.
- Support routine maintenance and organization of warehouse.
- Aid the team in making alternate housing plans in the event of illness outbreaks, pests, natural disasters, and other events.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Ensure the meal packing program for the division operates smoothly.
- Develop and implement meal plans for up to 12 crews.
- Purchase and store necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Manage food inventory and waste.
- Support Crew Leaders in purchasing additional provisions.
- Maintain office and housing facilities.
- Support orientation training for new members.
- Assist with office paperwork and maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and one year of related professional experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One or more years of experience working in logistics, fleet, and facilities management, or 2+ years developing expertise in one of these areas with interest and ability to learn the necessary skills for the other areas, preferably within a Conservation Corps or similar organization.
- First aid/CPR certification within 30 - 90 days of employment and maintain certification.
- Working knowledge of young adult development, team-building and motivational techniques.
- Ability to understand and follow ACE systems and processes including key responsibilities of crew leaders.
- Computer skills including professional email etiquette and intermediate knowledge of Google suite or other word processing and spreadsheet programs.
- Flexible and possesses a strong work ethic.
- Ability to maintain a positive, constructive work environment conducive to team performance, maintaining effective working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
- Ability to perform work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple concurrent responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to the surrounding work environment and conditions that can change frequently.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to organize and establish an effective workflow within the time constraints led by hitch schedules.
Other Requirements
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
- Proficient in English.
- Willingness to undergo and ability to pass a federal criminal background check.
- Willingness to abide by ACE Policy and Federal Drug-Free workplace policies and laws.
Compensation (Grade 2)
- $49,000 - $52,000 starting annualized salary.
- Compensation may be adjusted based on seasonal work volume and project needs.

Holidays, Vacation, and Sick Time
- Up to 80 hours of paid vacation time annually during the first two years of continuous employment, then it increases to 120 hours annually.
