Logistics Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support daily distribution activities for a retail operation in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This 6–8-week Contract position will focus on keeping shipments organized, maintaining accurate delivery records, and ensuring timely communication between internal teams and drivers. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-moving setting, stays organized under pressure, and takes a precise approach to logistics administration. This role is 100% onsite, M-F 8am-5pm with Saturdays being an option to work 11am-3pm or 4pm for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send delivery updates so key stakeholders remain informed on shipment status.
• Maintain accurate records of racks and equipment left at individual delivery locations.
• Create driver voucher documentation to support timely and correct payment processing.
• Print, sort, and organize invoices for distribution and recordkeeping purposes.
• Monitor delivery progress and help keep shipment information current throughout the day.
• Serve as a point of contact for drivers when leadership is unavailable, providing timely responses and operational support.
• Coordinate routine shipping and distribution tasks to help daily logistics activities run smoothly.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in logistics, shipping, distribution, or a related coordination role.
• Working knowledge of transportation or delivery support processes within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
• Ability to learn new procedures quickly through hands-on training and by asking thoughtful questions.
• High level of attention to detail, especially when handling records, vouchers, and invoices.
• Capacity to stay focused and productive in an active, high-energy workplace.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with drivers and internal team members.
