Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Serving as a coordinator for the import team, supporting sales staff with tasks as assigned.
• Affirming order accuracy and timeliness by communicating with suppliers, vendors, and customers.
• Tracking shipments to ensure timely arrivals and prevent fees.
• Filing necessary import paperwork (ISF, TRQ) before order arrival.
• Entering, updating, and closing orders into multiple software systems.
• Maintaining and building relationships with Australia, vendors, and customers.
• Analyzing and improving processes to enhance workplace efficiency.
• Acting as the main point of contact for inbound orders and documentation.
• Urgently resolving urgent orders to reflect accurate inventory for the sales team.
• Addressing shipment issues and gathering necessary information from warehouses, carriers, and receivers.
• Providing cross-training support to assist with additional tasks as needed.

• Basic warehousing knowledge.
• Order entry and updating skills.
• Release processing abilities.
• Inbound and outbound scheduling and planning.
• Document copying skills.
• Invoicing proficiency.
• Demurrage and detention tracking capabilities.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication via email and telephone.
• Shipment issue resolution expertise.
• Inventory control knowledge.
• LTL and FTL knowledge.
• Reefer shipment and storage knowledge.
• Experience in international logistics operations.
