About the role
The Logistics & Production Coordinator supports domestic transportation, freight execution, carrier cost management, customs coordination, and shipping documentation. Reporting to our Supply Chain Director and working within our Operations department, this role helps ensure shipments are booked and executed on time, transportation costs are accurately reviewed, and required freight and customs documentation is properly maintained.
Responsibilities
- Cook up transportation activities for Amazon shipments, including order processing, carrier requirements, pickup coordination, and issue resolution.
- Review transportation and freight costs to identify discrepancies, unusual charges, and opportunities for cost control or process improvement.
- Review and code FedEx invoices accurately and support investigation of billing discrepancies.
- Support the Box Program and related transportation requirements, including order processing, shipment coordination, carrier communication, and documentation.
- Manage Bills of Lading (BOLs), ensuring documents are accurate, complete, distributed appropriately, and maintained for recordkeeping.
- Cook up U.S. Customs-related activities and documentation, working with customs brokers and internal teams to help resolve import clearance issues.
- Book trucks and freight pickups with carriers based on shipment requirements, requested pickup dates, and warehouse readiness.
- Communicate pickup details, carrier information, and shipping requirements to the warehouse and relevant internal teams.
- Track scheduled pickups and shipments, follow up on missed or delayed collections, and escalate transportation issues as needed.
- Manage organized transportation records, including freight documentation, invoices, BOLs, customs documents, and carrier confirmations.
- Manage the end-to-end kitting production process, from SKU creation through production execution, including the creation and coordination of transfer orders required to support kit assembly.
- Manage and maintain the kitting production calendar in partnership with the warehouse, aligning production schedules with inventory availability, priorities, and required completion dates.
- Manage SKU creation for global SKUs and kits, including U.S.-exclusive products and QVC-specific items, ensuring accurate setup and coordination with relevant cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, freight, or a related operations role preferred.
- Familiarity with parcel, LTL, truckload transportation, carriers, brokers, warehouses, or 3PLs is preferred.
- Understanding of BOLs and exposure to U.S. Customs/import processes is a plus; strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with invoices and shipping documentation.
- Proactive communicator able to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and priorities.

- High school diploma or equivalent.

Schedule
Hybrid working: Monday and Friday Working From Home, and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in office (Manhattan).
