About the role
Oversee and track all activities related to incoming materials within a warehouse environment. The main objective is to ensure that all materials are accounted for, coordinate deliveries with Purchasing and suppliers, maintain correct statuses for shop work orders, and communicate clearly with Operations personnel. Perform various support functions necessary for the timely, efficient, and effective operations of the Xanthia receiving warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Validate receipts paperwork against supplier shipping tickets.
- Receive materials against purchase orders into Viewpoint Construction Software.
- Work with Purchasing and suppliers to research and solve supplier delivery discrepancies, including incorrect items and missing paperwork.
- Maintain a public work order status board and communicate daily with field personnel.
- Ensure purchase orders are filled with 100% accuracy from vendors.
- Oversee the inbound material deliveries from suppliers for backorder tracking.
- Communicate backorders with vendors and keep track of updated ship dates.
- Assist in developing solutions to specific problem areas.
- Compile, verify, and report periodic statistical information to management regarding trends in work order and process fluctuation.
- Ensure compliance of ISO procedures.
- Ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
- Inspect and maintain storage areas and warehouse for cleanliness and report issues to supervisor.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor request, including loading and unloading materials within warehouse or storage facility.
- Develop solutions to streamline processes.
- Assist all members of the Supply Chain on various projects.

- Data accuracy.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
- RK employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices, including the training requirements of RK Orientation, shop or site-specific orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10.
Minimum Physical Requirements
- Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy, and hazardous areas.
- Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces, and/or other adverse locations.
- Climb, balance, squat, kneel, and crouch.
- Work in all types of weather.
- Report and provide solutions for materials and process issues.
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
- Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
