New Era Cap, LLC is an international lifestyle brand headquartered in Buffalo, NY with an authentic sports heritage that dates back over 100 years. Best known for being the official on-field cap for MLB, official sideline cap for NFL, and official on-court cap for NBA, New Era Cap is the brand of choice for its headwear collection, accessories, and apparel lines for men, women, and youth. This role is responsible for logistics and transportation activities supporting New Era and Brand Partner collaborations and initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination among internal teams, manufacturing partners, international logistics providers, distribution facilities, brand partners, and retail customers.
The Logistics and Distribution team oversees four functional groups within New Era: Logistics, Distribution, Logistics Integration, and Trade Compliance. We are responsible for managing all product movement from the time it leaves the factory until it is delivered to the end customer.
This role is 100% on-site at New Era Cap’s Headquarters in downtown Buffalo, NY, encouraging in-person collaboration five days a week. HQ offers an inviting atmosphere, complete with an on-site café, fitness center, and Flagship store.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics activities for co-branded and licensed product launches
- Act as the primary logistics contact between internal stakeholders and external brand partners
- Monitor collaboration timelines to ensure key launch milestones are achieved
- Provide frequent status updates regarding production, transportation, inventory readiness, and customer deliveries
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions that could impact collaborative launches; work through inbound scheduling, carrier issues, delivery appointments, etc., proactively communicate delays, and recommend/troubleshoot alternate solutions
- Track global inbound shipments to ensure timely delivery to final destination and make real-time decisions to prioritize adjustments to the shipment as needed
- Arrange domestic and international transportation of products
- Coordinate carrier bookings, freight appointments, and delivery scheduling
- Maintain shipping documentation, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and trade requirements
- Verify partner branding, labeling, packaging, and ticketing standards are met
- Monitor shipment movement and proactively communicate delays
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes supporting collaborative business models
- Resolve chargeback, compliance, and delivery-related issues with customers
- Collaborate with internal departments (Product Development, Sales, Sourcing, Planning, Customer Service, and Distribution teams) and external partners to support logistics processes; review orders, inbound & outbound transactions, resolve routing issues, proactively communicate delays, and recommend/troubleshoot alternate solutions
- Update customer routings in SAP and accurately communicate to carriers and forwarders (based on customer-specific requirements)
- Proactively conduct root-cause analysis with all internal and third-party logistics partners of service level exceptions for customer orders and propose improvements/solutions
- Keep all sensitive matters confidential
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- One (1) to three (3) years of professional experience in logistics operations required
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field required
- Demonstrated advanced-level Excel required
- Experience working with international freight forwarders and executing international freight movements highly preferred
- Knowledge of shipping processes required; knowledge of international freight preferred
- Working knowledge of SAP preferred
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.

Schedule
This role is 100% on-site in Buffalo, NY, requiring in-person collaboration five days a week. Travel requirement: 5% to 10% domestic and/or global.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
