About the Role
The Lodgekeeping Supervisor assists the Lodgekeeping Management Team with supervisory tasks related to the department and its employees. This seasonal position runs from November to April.
Responsibilities
- Ensure each Member and guest receives outstanding service in a guest-friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every Member and guest, maintaining service standards, and demonstrating hospitality and professionalism.
- Guarantee total guest satisfaction, handle guest transactions ethically, and uphold Yellowstone Club’s reputation.
- Apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure environment; report accidents or emergencies immediately.
- Maintain positive working relationships with all employees to foster a collaborative environment.
- Assign Lodgekeepers their duties and inspect work for cleanliness standards.
- Oversee cleanliness of public/common areas, including stairways, offices, hallways, bathrooms, restaurants, and retail spaces.
- Assist with laundering F&B, Health and Wellness, and member laundry items.
- Ensure trash/garbage removal meets health, safety, and sanitation regulations in assigned areas.
- Inspect equipment and furnishings; prepare work orders for maintenance.
- Assist with daily operations of the Lodgekeeping department, including billing and scheduling.
- Implement departmental policies and procedures to maintain clean, orderly, and attractive premises and facilities.
- Collaborate with inter-departmental personnel to plan and maintain Lodgekeeping projects.
- Maintain facilities in a clean and safe state for Members, guests, and employees.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are operable and maintained.
- Assist in recruiting, selecting, and training department personnel, including conducting performance reviews.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as completing forms and reports.
- Participate in required training and maintain productivity, punctuality, and attendance standards.
- Maintain a positive, respectful attitude and professional appearance at all times.
- Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and management.
- Project a favorable image of Yellowstone Club to Members and guests.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; long hours may be required.
- Maintain Member privacy and adhere to all Club policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Capability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and take initiative.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid U.S. or International Driver’s License; must be at least 19 years old with 3 years of driving experience.
- Proficient in basic technology, including computers, smartphones, and email; intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and effectively with Members, guests, and colleagues.
- Basic math and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
- Constant use of hands and fingers to handle or lift items; frequent driving throughout the property.
- Alertness and attention to detail, particularly for safety and cleanliness standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or vocational training.
- 6 months of experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or commercial laundry settings; hospitality experience desired.
Work Environment
- Work is primarily indoors in a climate-controlled environment but may require outdoor work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind, snow).
