About the role

Role Harris Beach Murtha is looking for a Litigation Support Analyst to work closely with attorneys, IT, and external vendors to ensure defensible handling of client data and efficient execution of litigation support workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up and execute data collections from various sources, including email, network shares, cloud repositories, and local devices
  • Set up and maintain defensible preservation practices, including tracking custodians, data sources, and chain of custody
  • Handle data integrity and metadata throughout the collection process
  • Process client data using industry-standard tools, preparing data for ingestion into Relativity or LAW
  • Manage and maintain workspaces within Relativity, including folder structures, fields, layouts, and permissions
  • Tackle troubleshooting processing errors and manage exception handling during ingestion workflows
  • Support document review teams by creating batches, running searches, and managing data organization
  • Assist with analytics workflows, including keyword searching, filtering, and deduplication as applicable
  • Prepare document productions, including native and image formats, load files, and metadata deliverables
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external clients regarding project status, requirements, and timelines
  • Aid with onboarding new matters, including workspace setup and data intake
  • Collaborate with IT, Records, and vendors to ensure seamless workflow execution
  • Ensure proper and timely billing entries of Litigation Support activities

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of experience in litigation support, eDiscovery, or related experience
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Legal Studies, or related field
  • Experience with SQL, LAW, and Relativity
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication and client service skills

Qualified candidates should demonstrate the ability to effectively multi-task, meet deadlines, and provide solutions in a fast-paced office setting. They should also exhibit strong client service and active listening skills, believe in the firm’s core values, and enjoy working with diverse personalities within various levels of the firm. Candidates must be comfortable working in the office on a hybrid schedule or fully remote and have the flexibility to work varying hours each week (will include some nights).

Skills

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as proficiency in SQL, LAW, and Relativity.

Pay

Salary information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position, geographic locations and weekly hours schedule. The anticipated weekly schedule for the Litigation Support Analyst is 40 hours per week. Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, Rochester and Syracuse, NY: $28.85 - $38.47/hour
