About the role

Harris Beach Murtha is seeking a Litigation Support Analyst to support attorneys, IT, and external vendors in defensible handling of client data and efficient execution of litigation support workflows. Ideal candidates have 2-5+ years of experience in litigation support, eDiscovery, or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up and execute data collections from various sources, including email, network shares, cloud repositories, and local devices
  • Set up and maintain defensible preservation practices, including tracking custodians, data sources, and chain of custody
  • Process client data using industry-standard tools, preparing data for ingestion into Relativity or LAW
  • Manage and maintain workspaces within Relativity, including folder structures, fields, layouts, and permissions
  • Tackle processing errors and manage exception handling during ingestion workflows
  • Support document review teams by creating batches, running searches, and managing data organization
  • Assist with analytics workflows, including keyword searching, filtering, and deduplication as applicable
  • Prepare document productions, including native and image formats, load files, and metadata deliverables
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external clients regarding project status, requirements, and timelines
  • Aid in onboarding new matters, including workspace setup and data intake
  • Collaborate with IT, Records, and vendors to ensure seamless workflow execution
  • Ensure proper and timely billing entries of Litigation Support activities

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of experience in litigation support, eDiscovery, or related experience
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Legal Studies, or related field
  • Experience with SQL, LAW, and Relativity
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication and client service skills

  • Flexible to work varying hours each week (will include some nights)
  • Comfortable working in the office on a hybrid schedule or fully remote

Pay

  • Salary information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position, geographic locations and weekly hours schedule
  • Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, Rochester and Syracuse, NY: $28.85 - $38.47/hour

Schedule

  • The anticipated weekly schedule for the Litigation Support Analyst is 40 hours per week
