About the role
This position reports to the Senior Litigation Project Manager and is responsible for partnering with and supporting the attorneys in the U.S. Litigation Department by performing various tasks related to the attorney’s internal high-volume caseload. The role interacts with other attorneys and paralegals on the team and assists with special projects and reporting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys with specific tasks relating to lawsuits
- Calendar case deadlines, draft pleadings, discovery, settlement agreements, and other case-related documents
- Correspond with opposing counsel, co-counsel, local counsel, and court offices as needed
- Conduct legal research, including of case law and court rules
- Attend mediations and/or settlement conferences, potentially out-of-state, as the client representative
- File pleadings in state and federal court
- Maintain and keep current litigation tracking database and files
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree, plus a Paralegal certificate
- 3-5 years of experience working as a litigation paralegal in a law firm and/or an in-house legal department
- 3-5 years of advanced experience with PC skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, and G Suite
- 3-5 years crafting excellent written communications and addressing team members at various levels, including business leaders

- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
