Responsibilities
- Work with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions, and other case filings
- Create reports for attorneys based on case specifications and attorney requests
- Review, analyze, summarize, and organize case files, documents, and discovery
- Utilize existing files and research resources to develop information for pending cases
- Absorb changes to government guidelines or regulations and report on pertinent changes
- Maintain attorney calendars, including scheduling appointments and calendaring deadlines
- Communicate with clients regarding case matters and updates
- Proofread documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to filing or distribution
- Assist with secretarial and administrative duties as needed
Requirements
- Paralegal certification required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and court e-filing systems
- Sharp attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, reliable team player with a professional demeanor
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
