Litigation Family Law Attorney

Responsibilities
- Manage California divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, property division, and related family law matters
- Develop case strategy and independently move cases from intake through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other court filings
- Conduct and defend depositions as appropriate
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, settlement proceedings, and trials
- Analyze financial, custody, and property issues and provide practical strategic advice
- Negotiate settlements while preparing matters for contested litigation when necessary
- Maintain consistent communication with clients and guide them through challenging legal circumstances
- Collaborate with attorneys and support professionals across an established national family law platform
Requirements
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- Litigation experience with the ability to independently manage matters
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedure and courtroom practice
- Excellent written advocacy and legal analysis skills
- Confidence handling hearings, discovery, negotiations, and contested proceedings
- Strong client communication and relationship-management ability
- Excellent organization and deadline management
- Ability to operate effectively within a flexible hybrid environment
Preferred Qualifications
- California family law experience
- Divorce, custody, support, or complex property litigation experience
- Trial and evidentiary hearing experience
- Experience handling financially complex divorce matters
- Familiarity with Sacramento-area courts
- Established family law litigation caseload experience

Pay
Base salary of $97,200-$188,300, depending on experience.
Structured production-based attorney bonus program offering substantial additional earning potential above base compensation. Bonus eligibility begins after exceeding 750 billed hours during a half-year. Increasing incentive tiers as production grows, reaching up to 40% of applicable revenue generated within the highest qualifying production tier, subject to realization requirements.
