Litigation - Associate (Junior to Mid-Level)
About the role
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a full-time Associate in the Litigation Practice of their Albany office. The position offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in high-profile public policy matters involving government agencies.
- Work on complex and diverse public policy issues in areas such as health care, environmental and energy law, economic development, government procurement, gaming, and insurance.
- Participate in and assist with depositions, and appear before state and federal courts.
- Assist in drafting briefs, summarizing factual situations, and pursuing discovery.
- Contribute to the firm's nationally recognized First Amendment practice.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of litigation experience.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Strong writing and organizational skills.
- Experience analyzing legal issues, drafting briefs, summarizing factual situations, and pursuing discovery.
- Ability to assist with and/or take and defend depositions, and appear before state and federal courts.
- In good standing with the NY Bar.
- Federal clerkship a plus.
Qualifications

- Must be in good standing with the NY Bar.
- A federal clerkship is preferred but not required.

Pay
The expected pay range for this position is $142,500 - $172,500. Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job-related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average.
Schedule
Full-time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
