About the role

Crew is hiring a Mid-to-Senior Litigation Associate for a growing boutique litigation firm representing businesses, professionals, and other high-profile clients, including organizations in professional sports, in complex civil disputes. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with at least five years of litigation experience who enjoys taking ownership of cases, handling substantive litigation work independently, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Managing written discovery in active civil litigation and probate-related disputes
  • Taking and defending depositions with limited supervision
  • Drafting, opposing, and arguing motions, including dispositive motions, in California state courts
  • Appearing independently at hearings and court proceedings
  • Overseeing cases through all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and resolution
  • Communicating directly with clients and helping guide overall case strategy
  • Mentoring and supervising junior attorneys on active matters

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in the California Bar and good standing
  • Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation, probate litigation, or comparable litigation experience
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
  • Prominent ability to independently manage deadlines, caseloads, and competing priorities
  • Excellent client-facing communication and interpersonal skills
