Linux Systems Administrator

About the role

The Linux Systems / Cloud Administrator will be part of a close-knit team supporting USINDOPACOM J76, K. Mark Takai Pacific Warfighting Center. The team maintains, enhances, and upgrades a variety of applications and services in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer all Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) across the enterprise
• Monitor health, performance, and availability of Linux infrastructure; remediate issues
• Patch Linux servers (NDM, PTEN-S) and apply Linux STIGs
• Maintain Satellite Servers and local repos
• Maintain and develop Ansible playbooks for configuration management and automation
• Maintain Kickstart for automated Linux provisioning
• Administer and Manage Cloud Infrastructure and services (M365, Intune, etc.)
• Remediate Linux ACAS vulnerabilities and respond to CTOs affecting Linux systems
• Maintain SOPs and troubleshooting guides for Linux and cloud environment
• Afford other Systems team members with Infrastructure and Server Administration tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and nine (9)+ years of experience; additional four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of a degree
• Experience in Systems Administration across various technologies
• Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux systems
• Experience managing and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure and services
• Working knowledge of network protocols DHCP, DNS, SMTP, etc.
• Working knowledge of operating systems Windows 11, Windows Server, Linux, ESXi
• Working knowledge of infrastructure hardware and appliances
• Working knowledge of security compliance in a DoD environment STIGs, GPOs, SCAP, FedRAMP

Qualifications

• Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT II compliance certification (Security+ CE or greater), prior to hire
• Must have an Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance
• Must be a current US Citizen

Benefits

Target salary range $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
