Linehaul/Shuttle Driver (CDL-A)

About the role

Seeking a professional tractor-trailer driver to safely and efficiently transport products from the warehouse to customer locations, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety and food safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods over long distances, including states like PA, FL, and OH, often staying out 2-3 days.
• Load, unload, and handle products according to specifications.
• Complete all required paperwork, logs, and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Maintain proper temperatures in delivery vehicles to meet food safety standards.
• Operate equipment safely, including pallets, load bars, and onboard systems.
• Build strong customer relationships through courteous and clear communication.
• Notify management of route deviations, loading issues, or customer concerns.
• Work flexible schedules and exhibit reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; tractor-trailer driving experience preferred or completion of a driving school.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and insurability are required.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting/delivery practices.
• Skills in long-distance driving, problem-solving, and effective communication.
• Ability to operate large vehicles in various conditions and perform basic math and planning tasks.

Physical & Work Environment

• Must lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 350 pounds, and perform vehicle entry/exit.
• Work involves exposure to weather, mechanical parts, and occasional high or confined spaces.
• Flexibility for overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays is essential.
• Moderate noise levels and potential airborne particles are encountered.
