About the role

The Line Maintenance Mechanic position is available for a home-based role within our rapidly growing cargo airline. This role involves conducting and supporting all maintenance inspections during scheduled missions.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and promotes safety, security, and quality as a fundamental function.
  • Schedules and organizes workloads to achieve the highest quality and efficiency.
  • Orders and documents parts, coordinating with materials to ensure necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Advises Maintenance Control on out-of-service issues and estimates repair times.
  • Enforces safety measures, shop practices, and cleanliness standards.
  • Notifies Maintenance Control of unairworthy conditions and coordinates with providers for repairs.
  • Ensures compliance with FAA standards and performs inspections on designated systems.
  • Completes aircraft records and maintenance paperwork promptly.
  • Rides on company aircraft to ensure maintenance and handling comply with approved procedures.
  • Oversees ground handling and performs maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Works closely with Maintenance Control for repairs and checks.
  • Carries necessary tools and equipment for basic maintenance tasks.
  • Completes special ferry permit procedures, including inspections and documentation.

Requirements

  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant license (A&P).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of proven line maintenance experience on 747/MD-11 aircraft or equivalent.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel up to 20 days per month.
  • Positive attitude and ability to handle changes and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and provide progress reports.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance procedures.

Skills

  • Proficient in using maintenance software and tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs independently.
  • Good interpersonal skills for working with team members and customers.
