Safety Considerations
The work requires frequent walking, standing, or stooping, and sitting at a desk or table. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. safely.
Essential Functions
- Completes safety inspections and preventative maintenance of public housing units
- Performs general maintenance of public housing units, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repairs as permissible
- Uses a work order system to track and prioritize maintenance requests and document completion. Provides notice to residents regarding upcoming work
- Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid NC Driver's License
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field OR any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the job
- Knowledge of: The operation of a wide range of hand tools and equipment in the electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing trades
- P Practices in Federal, State, and Local building codes and safety regulations preferred
