About the role
The Maintenance Mechanic I repairs and maintains plant machinery, equipment, structures, tools and facilities as needed to meet production needs in a safe, reliable, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance on plant machinery, equipment, structures, tools and facilities
- Identifies and reports potential safety hazards
- Maintains records of maintenance activities
- Participates in regular training sessions to stay current with industry standards and best practices
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- At least 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude
