About the role

Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group operates two brands with over 20 restaurants throughout the Southeast. Our concepts, Ruby Slipper and Ruby Sunshine, bring the spirit and soul of New Orleans to brunch. We are an all-day brunch concept open for Breakfast and Lunch Only.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products
• Prepare and portion food prior to cooking
• Perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items
• Prepare appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates

Qualifications

• A firm belief that butter and bacon make everything better
• Able to follow Ruby Standards and recipes consistently – responsible for the quality of products served
• Complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front of house krewe members
• Able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50lbs
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
