About the role

Join our culinary team at Alltown Fresh, where you’ll prepare dishes using locally sourced ingredients and demonstrate your passion for heartfelt foodservice. This role involves working with state-of-the-art equipment and collaborating closely with the team to deliver exceptional hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Prep fresh ingredients by washing, chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep tasks.
• Prep, label, and stock ingredients while maintaining an organized and efficient workspace.
• Prepare sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins.
• Interact with guests throughout the day, showcasing passion for foodservice and dedication to hospitality.
• Assist in training new culinary hires.
• Communicate inventory and kitchen needs to the Chef, including prep items, cleaning supplies, and paper goods.
• Follow safe food handling procedures and allergen awareness protocols, paying special attention to guests with dietary concerns.
• Rotate stock items and store produce at appropriate temperatures.
• Take ownership of the dish station, ensuring it is set up, stocked, and maintained, including washing dishes as needed.
• Perform daily and weekly cleaning assignments, including emptying trash.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.

Requirements

• Basic knife and food preparation skills.
• Understanding of safe food handling and storage practices.
• Must obtain ServSafe certification (preferred but not required at hire).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and recognize team members.
• Ability to complete tasks quickly and accurately.

Pay

$17.75 - $21.18 per hour. The final amount offered is determined based on factors including experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
