About the role
Alltown Fresh is seeking a Line Cook 1 to join our dynamic culinary team. This role requires a passion for cooking with locally sourced ingredients and a commitment to hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Prepares fresh ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep tasks.
- Prepares necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins.
- Interacts with guests throughout the day, showcasing our passion for foodservice and hospitality.
- Assists in interviewing candidates and training new culinary hires.
- Communicates inventory and kitchen needs to Chef, including prep, grab and go items, cleaning and sanitization items, and paper goods.
- Follows safe food handling procedures and rotates stock items and stores produce at appropriate temperatures.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment by emptying trash as needed daily, performing daily and weekly cleaning assignments, and washing dishes as needed.
- Takes ownership of the dish station and ensures the area is set up and stocked.
- Communicates with Chef regarding kitchen needs and follows established guidelines.
Qualifications
- Basic knife and food preparation skills.
- Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Understanding of safe food handling and storage.
- Must obtain serve safe certification.
- High school diploma or GED. ServSafe certification required.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.32 - $21.75 per hour. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. The Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
