Limited Term, Laboratory Services Coordinator
About the role
Provide timely, effective, and thorough service to laboratory referral sources, hospital staff, patient families, and others based on Children's service standards; facilitate flow of samples and information to and from reference laboratories; fulfill laboratory's revenue cycle-related requirements for optimal reimbursement and compliant billing; serve as a resource for community service operations, sendouts testing, laboratory revenue cycle activities, and customer service; participate in process improvement efforts aimed at improving flow of laboratory services.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely, effective, and thorough service to laboratory referral sources, hospital staff, patient families, and others based on Children's service standards.
- Facilitate flow of samples and information to and from reference laboratories.
- Fulfill laboratory's revenue cycle-related requirements for optimal reimbursement and compliant billing.
- Serve as a resource for community service operations, sendouts testing, laboratory revenue cycle activities, and customer service.
- Participate in process improvement efforts aimed at improving flow of laboratory services.
Requirements
Required Education And Experience:
- Associate’s Degree in a Science related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of clinical laboratory experience.
Qualifications
At least 5 years experience with clinical laboratory sample processing, sendouts, and/or registration. Two (2) years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting.

Compensation Range: $29.16 - $43.73 per hour
