Role Summary

Reporting to the Showroom Manager, the Lighting Sales Consultant is a key member of the Kendall Lighting Center sales team. The person in this role maintains positive relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service. They are responsible for selling a wide variety of lighting products to customers visiting or calling in, merchandising new accessories and pricing, and maintaining cleanliness and order of the showroom floor.

Exciting Work You Will Do

  • Greet and assist customers visiting or calling in
  • Sell a wide variety of lighting products to customers visiting or calling in
  • Maintain and grow customer sales and gross profits to meet Company growth objectives
  • Mercandise new accessories and price them as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of the showroom
  • Maintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies, procedures, and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • Work Experience: 1 year of customer service experience
  • Educational Requirement: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Experience with MS Office; strong computer and typing skills
  • Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities; able to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment
  • Cross-functional Skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; excellent internal and external customer service; willingness to learn quickly; ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills
  • Physical, Mental & Visual Skills: Ability to sit, talk, and listen; ability to stand and lift up to 40 lbs frequently; ability to climb stairs; reasonable accommodations may be made
  • Physical Environment: Normal showroom environment

Qualifications We Prefer But Don't Require

  • Previous lighting showroom sales experience
