About the role

Total Industries is seeking Service Technicians to join our team. This position offers opportunities to grow within the company, starting as a Shop Technician and progressing to a Road Technician or Fleet Technician based on experience and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnoses, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electronic, gas/diesel, and hydraulic material handling equipment
  • Ensure all repairs address the problem and not just the symptom
  • Identify additional safety, mechanical, and other items in need of repair when working on the equipment
  • Submit quotes and completed work orders each day
  • Work independently and collaboratively, focusing on tasks for long periods without distraction
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Drive a company vehicle to various customer locations as needed

Requirements

  • At least six months experience working on engines
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Proven diagnosis and trouble-shooting skills
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good organizational skills
  • Willingness to work independently and under pressure
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently
  • DMV record that meets company requirements
  • Previous experience with a computer tablet, typing, and taking photos
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products and other dealer applications
  • ASE certifications (optional but desired)
  • Master Certified Technician (non-Toyota considered)
  • Technical school certificate of completion (optional)
