Life Skills Instructor – ACCESS Life Program

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and facilitate daily structured learning activities across life skills, vocational readiness, creative arts, leisure, and community integration
• Implement individualized support strategies that align with each participant's goals and abilities
• Monitor and document participant progress accurately and on time, including data collection required for Medicaid Waiver compliance
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive program environment at all times
• Communicate regularly and professionally with participants' families and support networks
• Respond calmly and appropriately to behavioral or medical situations, following ACCESS protocols
• Aid participants with daily living tasks as needed
• Be part of a supportive team that believes every person deserves the opportunity to succeed
• End each day knowing your work made a difference

Qualifications

• Must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Individuals must hold a degree in special education, human services, social work, or a related field, or have direct support experience
• Travel requirements are minimal, but may include transporting students/clients

$38,000–$40,000 per year
