Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures that state licenses are obtained and maintained for all positions that require a license.
- Completes applications/renewal forms and instructions for completion and ensures accuracy prior to submitting for processing.
- Sends renewal forms and miscellaneous correspondence.
- Receives, researches, and responds to incoming questions/complaints; provides information, explains policies and procedures.
- Maintains and or creates files/record keeping systems for individual licensing.
- Performs other clerical duties such as filing, faxing, copying, etc.
- Tracks application and renewal status and follows up on issues, conflicts and problems.
- Uses internal programs, and internet sites for recording and verifying license status.
- Responds to licensing inquiries from company and industry contacts.
- Performs legal research and communicates requirements/restrictions to the appropriate teams.
- Maintains licensing files and the integrity of the licensing database.
- Aids with special projects as initiated and supervised by manager.
- Performs all other duties and projects as assigned and approved by the Licensing Manager and leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state licensing laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of and a proficiency in using computer and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), and Internet.
- Knowledge of organization’s products, policies and procedures, and the respective functions of the departments.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be very organized and detail oriented.
- Requires continuous use of discretion, creativity, independent judgment and/or independent action.
- Self-motivated with a professional attitude.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Excellent teambuilding, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong typing and data entry skills.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit and twist; use hands to handle, push, pull or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Some college and six months experience gathering information from various businesses or governmental entities and following their procedures for specific documents preferred.
Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this role is $14.90 - $24.84 an hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
