Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN)

We are hiring Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs/LPNs) for a client in Big Spring, TX.

About the role

Licensed Vocational Nurse performs various patient care duties under the supervision of the Unit RN and Unit Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients, manage medication administration and treatments
• Provide medication education and complete documentation
• Perform computer data entry
• Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies: Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, BSH Policy and Directives, and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives

Requirements

• Must possess a valid LVN license
• Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements
• Must submit to HHSC required drug test
• Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting
• Must complete facility and HHSC required training

Schedule

• Shifts alternate to meet staffing needs
• Every other weekend off
• Able to start any day Monday–Friday, with 5 days’ notice for pre-employment processing
• 40 hours per week
• Minimum of 2–3 weeks of on-unit mentorship with a seasoned LVN
• 6-month term of commitment
