Licensed Vocational Nurse - Primary Pediatric

Role Overview

Provides patient care under supervision of physicians or registered nurses in a clinical setting, following established standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care duties such as obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, collecting specimens (including phlebotomy), and assisting with examinations and procedures.
• Supports patient flow, answers calls, schedules tests, documents patient information, assists with medication refills, and administers medications/immunizations as ordered.
• Maintains clinical cleanliness by cleaning/restocking exam rooms and equipment, and orders supplies.
• Performs routine clerical tasks like chart retrieval, filing, and completing forms.
• Attends training sessions and performs other assigned duties.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Active LVN license (state or compact).
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of patient care procedures, ability to assist providers, organizational skills, and adherence to safety protocols.

Schedule

Full-time, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts.
