Licensed Vocational Nurse - Primary Pediatric

About the Role

Provides patient care under the supervision of physicians or registered nurses, adhering to established standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care duties such as obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens, including phlebotomy.
• Assists providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures, and supports patient flow in the clinic.
• Answers phone calls, records messages, and helps coordinate test appointments, results, and pre-certifications.
• Documents patient information accurately and assists with medication refills.
• Administers medications and immunizations as ordered by providers.
• Maintains cleanliness and restocking of exam rooms and equipment, following policies and sterile techniques.
• Performs routine clerical tasks such as locating charts, filing, and completing forms.
• Participates in meetings, training, and performs other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Licensed LVN in the state of employment or holding a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
